Forever Free!

McKinney's fireworks display that was supposed to be on the 4th of July were rained out and postponed to tonight. Since Noah had had a long day with no nap, Paul decided to stay home with him so he could go to bed. I took the other 3 and headed to Myers Park for some fireworks. When we parked, I wasn't sure where exactly they were shooting them off from. Well, it was spectacular. They lauched about 50 yards from our car and we had to look straight up to see them. As they fell to the ground, it literally rained leftover fireworks all around us. Andrew, of course, wanted to examine the remains to see what they were made of. Jacob headed back inside the car convinced that if it touched you, you would die! Nicholas was not a huge fan of the loud noise so he was in and out of the car throughout the show. I'm sure it would have been more atmospheric on the 4th, but this was a fun, low key entertainment for a Saturday night. And the best part was that all three dozed off on the way home, so no fusses about bedtime when they got home!!

This afternoon we celebrated my nephew Henry's birthday. We had alot of fun and the boys had fun getting to hit at a dinosaur pinata. I can't believe how fast they are all growing up. Happy Birthday, Henry!
