Our Christmas Letter

Now that we have this blog site we decided to do our yearly (or rather every few years) letter online. So here goes...

Andrew is now eight and in third grade. He is still enjoying cub scouts and is now working on his bear rank. He loves going on all the campouts with Paul and Jacob (I conveniently stay home with the younger two - ha!). He also still enjoys basketball and is currently beginning a new season of Upwards basketball at our church. He definitely has the height for it! His shoe size is already up to a men's size seven. I'm sure in another year or two he will surpass me in height!! He also loves to read and anything to do with science.

Jacob is now six and in kindergarten. He is definitely our social butterfly! Now that he is learning to read he stays busy playing on the computer without having to ask his big brother what the instructions say. He is also very imaginative and comes up with the most creative stories!

Nicholas is four and enjoying preschool two days a week. He is in the PALS program through McKinney ISD which is for children with articulation delays. He is doing great and may be graduating soon. Since he will be going to kindergarten next year, I'm hoping he can stay in it through the rest of this school year. He absolutely loves school and loves to learn! He is also excited about beginning to play soccer this spring.

Noah is three and also began preschool this year through McKinney ISD. He also has some speech and language delays and goes to school five days a week. He loves going and riding the bus. He is definitely the baby of the group and has learned to hold his own with all his big brothers. His opinions and temper definitely get the best of him at times and keeps us all on our toes!! He loves Thomas the Tank Engine and can tell you who every character is and knows every story by heart. I can't believe my baby is three (and more amazingly - that I've gone three years without being pregnant!).

Paul is staying very busy with work. They are just about to launch Editability Publishing which is a new avenue to his company. He's also enjoyed getting to spend more time with the boys camping and just hanging out and doing "guy" things. He recently got to go on a goose hunt with some guys from church and "escape" the coop for a weekend.

I'm staying busy too with work and kids. I'm mostly working from home doing all the accounting for the company which is becoming more and more of a full time job. I'm also the treasurer for Andrew's cub scout pack which has been a lot of fun. The boys' busy schedules keep me on my toes playing chauffer from activity to activity. Paul and I did manage to get away for a weekend in July for our anniversary. We went to San Antonio and had tickets to the Antiques Roadshow which was a lot of fun (even though our items did not turn out to be "treasures"!). It was neat to see how the show works behind the scenes.

Well, I guess that's about all the highlights for now. Come back soon for more updates on the Ernest clan!

It is nice to hear about all the things you and your family are involved in. Can't believe the babies are getting older. I love you.
